Chaparral Golf Course is OPEN
The City of Bullhead City is proud to announce the successful completion of its transition to full ownership and operation of the Chaparral Golf Course and Restaurant. Following a multi-phase acquisition process that began in late 2025, the facility is now officially a municipal asset, ensuring the long-term preservation of one of the community's most storied recreational landmarks.
Revitalization and Community Impact
Under the care of the Bullhead City Parks Maintenance Division, the 9-hole executive course has undergone significant revitalization. Recent improvements include:
Enhanced Turf Management: Intensive efforts have returned the greens and fairways to a lush, healthy state.
Infrastructure Protection: The acquisition secures vital city infrastructure, including a major storm water basin and waste water lift station located on the property.
Public Access: Formerly a semi-private club, the course and its clubhouse restaurant are now fully open to the public, offering affordable recreation for residents and visitors alike.
"Chaparral is more than just a golf course; it is a vital part of our city’s infrastructure and quality of life," said city officials during the transition. "By bringing this facility under municipal management, we are preserving open green space and creating new opportunities for local tourism and community events".
